WHY ARE CERAMIC COATINGS SO EXPENSIVE?
This question is asked by many clients. Ceramic coatings are not your traditional wax sealant. While the procedure to apply a ceramic coating is similar to the traditional “wax on, wax off” there are many more steps that go into properly installing a ceramic coating to get the performance and longevity advertised. Its important to understand the necessary steps in performing a ceramic coating application so you know where your money is going.
STEP 1 : PRE-WASH
This sounds counterintuitive to pre-wash a vehicle but a good detailer doesn’t introduce any more damage to a vehicle than already done. We remove as much of the surface dirt from the vehicle as possible without touching it before moving onto a contact wash.
STEP 2 : CONTACT WASH
If Step 1 was done properly, all we are left with is a thin layer of road film on the vehicle. We use our special techniques and chemicals with emulsifiers to safely break down and remove this road film during our contact wash.
STEP 3 : DECONTAMINATION
Once the vehicle is clean of all road debris, we introduce a clay bar/ towel and iron fallout remover. The iron remover will chemically attack the iron particles and break them down so we can safely remove them from the paint surface. The clay bar/ towel will grab road debris stuck in the paint surface, leaving behind a very smooth surface.
STEP 4 : PAINT CORRECTION
Paint correction is the mechanical leveling of a clear coat to a point where the paint is free of swirl marks and light scratches. Depending on client expectations and condition of vehicle, this can take a considerable amount of time.

STEP 5 : SURFACE PREP
Before we can apply the ceramic coating, we must first do our final surface prep. We us a special chemical solvent designed to remove any oils, residues, polishing compounds, waxes or any other chemical still on the surface of the paint.
STEP 6 : CERAMIC COATING APPLICATION
After all that work, it is now time for the application! The application process can take as little as an hour and up to 2 hours to complete. Depending on the level of paint correction obtained, a ceramic coating job can take anywhere from a single day, and 2 to 3 days to complete!
“This was the single best investment I ever made for my car! I had called around to a few auto detailers before calling Brad. He was able to work within my budget and I couldn’t be happier!
